Pilar Marrero is a journalist who for 25 years has extensively covered city government, immigration, and state and national politics. A senior reporter for La Opinión, she is a regular commentator for radio and television in both Spanish and English media. She also teaches journalism courses at UCLA Extension. She is writing a book about how USA's immigration policy is undermining its economic future and national principles, which will be published in the spring of 2012.
