Sharon Kyle: Today is the day we honor our fathers. Many would say I’ve chosen a peculiar way to honor mine. I won’t be having dinner with him. In fact, I will not see him today even though he lives 60 miles away. I will be in a class all day – a California bar review class – as I prepare to take the California Bar Exam. I am a middle-aged woman who has had three major jobs and is now beginning a fourth as a people’s lawyer (after passing the bar) and my father is one of the biggest reasons I push myself the way I do.
Sharon Kyle: My father looks to me for endorsements. In a sense, we all need endorsements to help us select who we’ll vote for. Our knowledge of the issues and the candidates runs the gamut. Some of us are plugged in 24/7 others rely on television ads, still others wait for the slates to arrive in the mail and then there’s always the endorsement of the party.

Do a majority know enough?” These questions are not new but the current economic crisis brings to the fore the urgency of an answer.
Sharon Kyle: When asked if the movement was broad enough to attract conservative democrats, Palin said, “they’re already peeking in — it’s pretty cool to see some of the Blue Dog Democrats peeking under the tent and finding out what is this movement all about and, holy geez, I’m scared if I’m not a part of this.”
