China can keep the cost of health care , transportation and housing down because they are not controlled by a "magic of the marketplace" ideology. They have a mixed economy. When the government needed to stimulate the economy they did it in a heart beat.Unemployment is 4.5 percent , they are the engine driving the world out of the current recession. What we can export to them is a good question. So much of our country has been de-industrialized or is now capital intense manufacturing. We need to focus on reducing the cost of living for low wage Americans.Maybe take some of the housing out of the "right wing soaring eagle sector" and let poor people live a little.
