i can not belive what i just heard you know we arent hartless ditators bent on taking over the world! how would you like it if i called you a hypocrytical murderer because you cuss at us for feeling compassion and helping iraq and then saying” you heartless people, you let those babys be born after your raped! well as the compassionate republican i am i belive that all live has value even if it was from a rape. how do you like that?!? yeah, you dont like that either do you?!?

Perhaps you don’t find a lot of dissenting opinions because this site is “L.A. Progressive.”

It is highly galling. I had the exact same thought: how fortunate these people are to have never lived in a community where discrimination, joblessness, foreclosures, crime, poor health, etc., would actually warrant such workers. Ask someone in a neighborhood like that what a community organizer does. They’ll be able to answer.

Apparently they’re unaware that even corporations hire “community organizers” whenever they need to drum up support for a development project, a toxic sludge dump, or whatever they want to foist on poorer neighborhoods.

But I’d like to know why the Democrats can’t be at least AS mean. Call them liars, thieves, elitists, extremists. For example, how many families could be saved from foreclosure with the money Cindy McCain spends on her outfits?

ex-leftist, it seems you’ve been misguided. whatever your affiliation now, i think it’s safe to assume that during your “leftist” days, something left you bitter and spiteful. i’ve been through that phase. but the point is progressives hate seeing the public being taken advantage of in the name of god, family, or other guise. not dissenting opinions. you should know this. i hope you find your way.

“Republicans are mean.” That’s a really brilliant article title and it must have caused you hours of strain to come up with it.

When Republicans do it its meanness, when leftists do it its called progressivism, tolerance, social justice, or any of the countless euphemisms that accompany leftist bullying and censorship. This is patently obvious by the fact that none of the comments published are by dissenting voices. The left hates dissenting opinions and demands the dialogue be of the amen-corner variety only.

all of those words floated in my mind as i watched her speech (and the others) last night. i saw images of “sarcastic,” “demeaning,” “condescending,” and “snarky” flash in my head the whole time, only to hear the same sentiments being verbalized in the comments following by keith olberman and others.
i try to be objective while watching the speeches, but when there’s a lack of substance and a lot of low blows, she makes the republicans look like a bunch of school yard bullies. it’s unfortunate because i really tried to watch the speech objectively. but you’re absolutely right, punch ‘em in the face and point and laugh and punch again. that’s what they’re good at. those cheering them on are the same wussies that stood on the side laughing at the kid getting beat up. i hope obama has the last laugh.
i did like his response to being questioned about her going on the attack, saying that he is focused on john mccain because he’s running against mccain (and not her), and she only speaks on behalf of mccain.
