Every Friday the LA Progressive features a comment that was particularly noteworthy. This week we are featuring a comment submitted by Rosalio Munoz in response to Denis Campbell’s “Please Don’t Hurt Me: The Democratic Rallying Cry.” Rosalio writes:

Yes Tip & Mike did a great job containing Reaganism along with Scoop Jackson and Sam Nunn they held the military budget in check. Hah!

And they had so many slippery Republican moderates to deal with, with the neocons you know what you have to deal with. Give me a break. What Pelosi got passed and Reid tried to pass was as good as the old school if not better. Did any of those guys support Jesse Jackson?

Tip put Ed Roybal through the wringer for opposing employer sanctions so strong. I lobbied for Sane/Freeze to pass the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, we go every Cal Demo save Lantos to cosign, 180 some nationwide and O’neill just snuffed it.!

We need 60 votes in the Senate to make real change, bill by bill. If you can deliver three GOP votes consistently OK, but til then the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
