LA Media Reform Summit 2011

Are you tired of the grip the right has on talk radio and Fox? Are you interested in being a part of the growing movement to take away the rightwing’s dominance of the airwaves?

Common Cause was one of several progressive organizations that organized the successful Koch brothers Palm Springs rally. This month, The LA Media Reform Group working with Common Cause and other organizations is focusing on the damage being done by the media — particularly with the growing hate speech. 

This media group exists because they want a media that truly serves the public interest—not the profits of a corporate parent. They exist because they want to foster independent media and breakup the stranglehold that media giants use to further business and/or political agendas while keeping citizens in the dark. They exist because they feel this fight will never be won one media reformer at a time. They exist because they want to meet people on the issues they care about and show them how media reform overlaps everything they care about.
