The 2013 LGBT Community Police Academy

Every Thursday night, beginning on April 4th, thru May 30, 2013.

The nine-week course will be held at LAPD’s Elysian Park Police Academy, 1800 Academy Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90012, by Dodger Stadium, each Thursday night between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Culmination will be on May 30th, 2013 at the Elysian Park Police Academy from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcomed to attend!

The nine-week academy is designed to give community members an overview of the Los Angeles Police Department’s policies and procedures. The curriculum and teaching methods are similar to the traditional law enforcement academy. However, the weekly sessions are not designed to certify the participants as a law enforcement officer.
