To Sarah Palin and John McCain all I can say when they wonder why they lost the election is “You shall reap what you sow”!!!! Palin quotes herself as a Christian well, a Christian is called to build up not tear down. She should get on her knees and repent!!!

Bill: What kind of presidency could McCain have if he won by stirring up racial hatred the way he and Palin and their campaign have been doing?

You have to think that thinking people — even if they’re on the fence politically — will be put off by this base demagoguery.

But, as we see from recent news clips, there are people who will be swept up in the scapegoating Palin, in particular, resorts to.

I don’t think Palin cares at this point. She sees what’s happening to the McCain-Palin campaign and is gearing for 2012 and beyond.

Sitting here this evening and mulling this over in my mind after dinner I reread this several times. I don’t like going here but I feel I have to say something. These segregationist remarks start blood boiling! A lot of these folks screaming bomb, kill, terrorist, etc have a way of whipping up the fringe elements. I am 70 years old and a disabled vet, I know what I’m hearing here, As a student of history I can very well connect the dots to a certain German Leader in the 20th century who could whip up the folks.. This campaign has just gone too far in my opinion!! I am hoping with all my heart the folks especially in South Florida pay attention to the words of congressman Lewis, This whole thing borders on mass hate, I will say it now, I am wondering when the Republican Party will adopt the “Cross of Topsy Turvey” for their symbol!! I am mad as hell at the Republican Party and I am ASHAMED of saying I was in the same navy as Sen. John Mc Cain. A 20 year sailor

I am a Republican and I am sad to see and hear what Sarah Palin has to say. It is evident by her continual poor performance and irresponsible handling of the crowd in Florida and her inability (despite her journalism degree) to manage a media interview that she is not a leader. My opinion now is that she must have just been in the right place and able to bash the right people at the right time to get elected in Alaska! She is not a pit bull, she is a pit bully! And not very smart at that! That would go a long way in international relations to getting the US in very hot water. Thanks to McCain, he has allowed us to see this 42 year old for what she really is — not electable as a leader now or in the future. She is the reason many Republican women (including me) are no longer willing to support McCain and now want to know more about what Obama and Biden offer. What does it say for the judgement of McCain, who skipped a dozen extremely qualified/well respected/experienced Republican women and instead picked Sarah Palin? He held her up to represent the best and brightest among us when he selected her a his VP running mate. Perhaps lipstick, skirts, stylish glasses, some down home slang, and a few winks fool a few people. I hope not many are fooled! We will all pay dearly if people elect McCain/Palin to run our country.

The McCain/Palin ticket does not stand for “country first” when they criticize the many millions of American citizens who are “brown skinned” and of mixed race. Whether born here or transplanted here, America is beautiful because of our people of all colors, all creeds.

America has been an example to the world of tolerance and opportunity and has offered an open door for immigration. Add to this the enormous amount of trade we do with foreign countries and the globalization of communication, technology, and financial infrastructure, there is no place for ignorance or intolerance.

We are not an insulated nation, the world has evolved, and we will not slip back to ugly and hateful 19th and 20th Century bigotry. All people are created equal, we are all patriots – perhaps with differing individual views – but we are united as one American people.

Sarah Palin’s un-Christian rhetoric and condoning of nasty speech and violence against fellow countrymen is abhorrent. This woman is undignified, uneducated, and is fundamentally unqualified to be vice president or president of the United States.
