Steve Ybarra: Newtron signals the beginning of this war by asking people to go and talk to the “Bishops” and hear for themselves that the Catholic Church is being destroyed by these edicts. Wait, ask the BISHOPS!?!

Rev. Irene Monroe: As a church that is borne out of a liberal Protestant Christian tradition, the Presbyterian Church’s problem with its LGBTQ worshippers is a history of how it not only broke the backs and souls of the many who wanted to serve, but also how the church recklessly discarded the gifts we bring.
Rev. Irene Monroe: St. Patrick’s Day has rolled around again, and like previous March 17th celebrations nationwide, its LGBTQ communities are not invited. The aim of this unholy alliance? Stop same-sex marriage.

We found ourselves unable to fully enjoy or celebrate Barack Obama’s historic win, because of the heartbreaking passage of Proposition 8, which enshrined discrimination against gays and lesbians into our California constitution. We found ourselves thinking of our two beautiful children [...]

JP Sotille: Like so many of the so-called “Left” in America, Maher has basically accepted the key notion that a whole population of like-minded people have decided to kill Americans because of an irrational religious belief system.
