Not knowing what else to do, the writer sat down in the water and touched the back of the elegant Grandmother.

Michelle Obama: The Ultimate Insider?

Kenneth Weisbode: Where do presidents’ wives fit in? Some have wielded power openly, some have been powers behind the throne, some have been all but invisible. After a year, the current first lady’s role is far from clear.

Beyoncé’s Soulless Starbucking of Music Industry

Randy Shaw: Beyoncé has been a great star since childhood, and has gotten to the top through hard work, dedication, good looks and a powerful singing voice. But she seems to have gone through a corporate homogenization machine that has deprived her of real passion, real soul, and of the ability to express true feelings and emotions in her songs.

What About Michelle’s First Hundred Days?

stacy

While the mixed assessments of President Barack Obama’s first hundred days pour in, Michelle Obama has maintained a near-flawless record of behavior and pushed campaign questions about her equanimity into obscurity. In the process, she has managed to accomplish The First Lady Ideal: pleasing most of the people most of the time. She has done […]

As Cesar Millan, the world’s best known dog whisperer, often reminds people with problem pooches, “a dog doesn’t know or care if it lives in a slum or The White House.” But don’t try telling this to The Washington Post, AP, The New York Times, and the rest of the media pack that refuses to […]
