I would add that this escalation means a continued funding of corrupt private contractors that have been convicted of massacring civilians and running child prostitution rings. Not accused of these crimes – but convicted of them! They now represent half of all “troops” in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Thank you for stating why Obama is so clearly not a liberal or progressive. I think progressives need to accept this reality and move forward, as you said, towards a new party.
