Erika Brown

Erika Brown is a sociology Ph.D. student at Texas Woman’s University and a community-focused scholar who interrogates the lived realities of Black people under the United States financial system. Her work draws on her experiences as a Black woman, a 20-year veteran of corporate America, and a former employee in the field of fintech.
