About Hector Huezo

Hector Huezo was born at Kaiser Sunset in Hollywood to two immigrant Salvadoran parents who met learning English and taking classes at Evans Adult School in Echo Park. He was raised in South Gate and grew up in and around the east side neighborhoods of Los Angeles. He currently directs workforce development and employment training programs in the City and County of Los Angeles, including some of the neighborhoods with the highest unemployment rates in L.A. Hector is an avid Metro commuter, casual transit bicyclist, and an advocate for complete streets, affordable housing, good jobs and a healthy middle class.
