Leah Levine is a columnist for, who advocates for prison abolition, racial justice, and sex workers. Pursuing a Master’s in Library and Information Studies (MLIS) at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Chicago-born activist Leah Levine specializes in analyses of how central educational systems are to a citizenry’s ability to interpret and consume information. At the basis of her passion for these causes rests the powerful theory that censorship and suppression of information compromise any social or political movement. She has a B.A., Art History, from Loyola University Chicago.
