We don’t often hear about the minor children of people who have been sentenced to die. The media typically covers the story up to and including the execution. Rarely are we given any insight into what happens in the lives of children in the aftermath of their parents execution.

For white people reading this who are unaware of this practice, there is a test known as “the brown paper bag test” used to determine where your skin color placed you in the pecking order.
Sharon Kyle: Five years ago, if someone were to tell me that the United States treats its elderly like discarded trash I would have ignored them. Today, I’m seeing it with my own eyes. I suspect we’d find quite a few homeless people are homeless because first they had dementia.
