“How Popular Blackness Changed America”

How Popular Blackness Changed AmericaTHIS MONTH’S FORUM is the second forum of a series of forums entitled,

“How Popular Blackness Changed America.”

Join us THIS Friday, June 13th, 2014, at 7:30 a.m., as this forum features a discussion on how “Power to the People,” self-determination in symbol and substance, changed American culture and the world.

Our Newsmaker will be:

Author, Former Chairman and Co-Founder of the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, Bobby Seale

This forum will focus on how American culture has been shaped by the politics and protests of pro-black radicalism that called attention to police abuse and misconduct, Second Amendment rights for poor people, poverty and exploits of capitalism, and the need to fashion programs that reverse the social ills of impoverished people (some of which were adopted by the federal government). This will be an exciting forum.

The forum will be held:

California African American Museum
600 State Dr. (Exposition Park)
Los Angeles, CA 90037

Lot/Garage Parking is $10. Parking is free and metered off-site.

Breakfast is FREE and will be served (starting at 7:30 a.m.).
