Time is running out on the chance to fix something terribly wrong with America: the neurotoxic and carcinogenic artificial sweetener aspartame, whose FDA approval was forced by Donald Rumsfeld in 1981 in one of the most crooked deals in the history of the FDA.

Down to the Wire! California May Label Aspartame as Carcinogenic Stephen Fox

We have a chance to get this poison labeled under California's Proposition 65 as carcinogenic. I bring this to your attention, because there is no better way to fight back against the Neocons and crooks who swung this election to their own selfish goals, who, if unchecked and uncorrected will continue to dump this poison into our foods and medicines.

This is not some idealistic pie-in-the-sky request: For California to have advanced this far in determining what I have been working on for the past 15 years is in itself a major breakthrough. Like Donald Rumsfeld announcing that he was "pulling out all of the stops" to get aspartame approved through political rather than scientific or medical means (in one of the most crooked deals in the history of the FDA by the way!), I am pulling out the stops now to get this reversed and get aspartame rescinded. This breakthrough, if it occurs in California, will be the first death knell for the aspartame industry.

To succeed in this effort labeling this poison means that not only will California consumers will be protected by at least a warning, if not an outright ban, but that, further, other states and other nations will enact and require labeling of their own, the beginning of the end for the aspartame corporate killers.

Mark my word: if we fail on this, the bad guys win again, perhaps permanently....

Please send your letter to Sacramento soon, and deal a strong blow against Monsanto, Donald Rumsfeld, and Ajinomoto, the makers of this horrible carcinogen found in 10,000 food products and 4000 medications, including every diet coke, Equal, and all sugarless chewing gum, henceforth to be labeled in California as containing a known carcinogen! This is going to huge...

Your letter to Sacramento could be crucial to get aspartame labeled as a carcinogen in California. There is no clearer test of consumer protection in America than this matter right now. To ignore this compelling issue and not write in is tantamount to saying the henceforth, the Neocons and the corporations will have unlimited and unchecked power.
