No, No, Joe!

Jerry Drucker: In his 2006 primary fight against Ned Lamont, No No Joe told the voters he was all for universal health care for all Americans and they needed him in office to push it through. (He must have meant 'push it through the exit door.')

Lie (li) n. 1. A false statement or piece of information deliberately presented as being true; a falsehood.

2. Anything meant to deceive or give a wrong impression. -- give the lie to, as in Lieberman, Senator Joseph I.

Knowing and ignoring the 3 to 1 for health care desired by his Connecticut constituents is not the kind of NOing No No Joe knows nowadays. No, No Joe has become a foe of the vast majority of Americans and is clearly in the health care fight for the dough. (Millions that is, and for his lobbyist wife Hadassah. Instead of lobbyist, she’s now referred to as a consultant for the health industry and big Pharma- most thinking people recognize that No No Joe is involved in a huge conflict of interest)

In his 2006 primary fight against Ned Lamont, No No Joe told the voters he was all for universal health care for all Americans and they needed him in office to push it through. (He must have meant ‘push it through the exit door’) In 2006, Lieberman supported 55 and older Americans without insurance to buy into Medicare. As late as this last September, No No Joe voiced support for expanding Medicare in an interview with the Connecticut Post.

So No No Joe changed his mind. What could have changed No No Joe’s mind? Was it the over 100 insurance companies based in Connecticut ? After all, the insurance companies and Big Pharma make billions by ripping off the tax payers and receiving government subsidies, allowing them to obtain a pill for a nickel and collecting $50 a pill.

Was it because No No Jo is psychologically challenged and is on a power trip? Maybe it’s revenge for Ned Lamont unseating him from the Democratic Party? It certainly appears No No Joe has joined the Greedy Obstructionist Prevaricators. He was wildly greeted at the GOP convention and gave his best Benedict Arnold speech. And the truth be known, there is no sense at all in the insurance companies being involved in the health care of America . What do they do? It’s no longer up to your doctor to decide if you have a procedure, surgery or medication. The insurance companies are simply money changers and profit makers. The insurance companies, along with Big Pharma and HMO’s are most interested in profit and not health care. It’s up to a bureaucratic insurance clerk to determine whether there’s too much profit loss involved in said procedure, surgery or medication. It becomes the clerk’s job to turn down the doctor’s request whenever possible.

No No Joe has regained his throne in becoming the king of the Flip Floppers and has now flopped flipped to brand him in the musty halls of history. However the former champion of the Flip Flop, Sen. John McCain came to No No Joe’s defense when the most junior Senator, Al Franken limited No No Joe to his 10 minutes on the floor of the Senate. McCain: “I’ve been around here for more than 20 years, yesterday on the floor of the Senate, the senator from Connecticut was finishing up his remarks --- and was objected to by the newest member of the United States Senate---and in the most brusque way.” Then: “That’s how the comity in this body has deteriorated. We got to stop – we got to stop this kind of behavior. I’ve never seen anything like it. And I hope that I don’t see it again.” Gee. McCain must have awakened from his 20 year sleep. What had happened is that Speaker Reid had told the presiding senators (Franken) to keep it to 10 minutes. No exceptions. No No Joe could have danced all night and would have still asked for more. McCain’s reaction is the CASABLANCA diversion. “I’m shocked, shocked I tell you, to learn there’s gambling going on here.”

We Progressives were always suspicious of No No Joe. What a disappointment when Vice President Gore picked him for his V.P. Our suspicions were confirmed when he had the one Vice Presidential debate. Darth Dick tore him apart. When Cheney said: “I never got one bit of help working for the government, all the success I had I did by myself.” And very politely, No No Joe allowed Darth to get away with his outlandish claim as he did most often with his hypocritical GreedyObfuscatingPervaricating cronies.

No No Joe is no joke anymore. If he sticks to his destructive Health Care non-reform game, and 45,000 or more Americans die having no insurance what-so-ever, their death certificate could read:
