Another Brick in the Wall

Lorraine Payette: There is a reason they are fleeing with the clothes on their backs and their little ones by their sides – they are not doing this lightly.

Why do the “President” and his supporters think a wall will have any effect whatsoever on how many people try to enter the US through Mexico and the southern border? They don’t need a wall, they need to fix what is making all of these people flee their homelands to take their chances pleading for admission to a country that has told them flat out it doesn’t want them, will incarcerate them, steal their children from them (making it doubtful that they will ever see them again), and then will send them right back to their own individual hells rather than helping them.

Refugees Begging Entry

These people believe in Lady Liberty and the words of Emma Lazarus - even if the US “majority power” no longer backs that up:

“...“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

There is a reason they are fleeing with the clothes on their backs and their little ones by their sides – they are not doing this lightly.

According to the people I have interviewed with Homeland, the problem of caravans and masses of refugees begging entry has existed for decades, and just keeps getting worse.

It isn't that people come, it's the sheer number of people – as they told me, even if they ALL follow the rules, all come in for asylum, all get court dates and attend those sessions, there are simply not enough officers or courts or other facilities to handle so very many of them. There is not enough housing, not enough food and water, not enough transportation, not enough of anything to deal with this sea of hopeful escapees. And the destruction of humanitarian supplies left out in the deserts does nothing but momentarily satisfy the rage of a smug bunch of bullies in uniforms who enjoy watching them suffer.

There is a reason they are fleeing with the clothes on their backs and their little ones by their sides – they are not doing this lightly. They are not the criminal element the “President” would so blithely have us believe – the majority of drug traffickers, human traffickers, terrorists, etc. in the US are homegrown, NOT members of these caravans.

If the “President” REALLY supports Border Security, why did he stop paying all of those people who provide it? If he REALLY wants to stop this influx of refugees and “unwanted” immigrants, why doesn't he get his diplomatic corps out there doing their job to convince these other governments to stop their atrocities, let these people live in peace and dignity, and see how many would prefer to stay home and rebuild their cultures and societies if they can do so in safety and the honest belief in a bright future for themselves and their families? Or would that be too much like doing his job as POTUS correctly? We'll probably never know.

The issue is big, yes, but it is not a “national security emergency”, and must not be funded as such. It is up to the opposition and the courts to shut this down before it can even begin, to save the hard working, honest tax payers of the United States billions of their dollars before they are squandered by a buffoon who would never have been put into power had the electoral college not existed.

Now is the time to get out, march, contact your representatives in Washington and just say “NO!” as long and loudly as you can. Should this fiasco be allowed to happen, you can guarantee far worse is to come.
