Urban Issues Forum: Charles Blow
Join us next Friday, Sept. 26th, 2014, at 7:30 a.m., as this forum features a conversation on violence and abuse tolerance in American culture.
Our Newsmaker will be:
Author/New York Times Columnist/CNN Commentator,
Charles Blow
This forum will focus on how American culture has been complicit in the perversion of police abuse and domestic violence in the 21st Century. Recent events in Ferguson, Missouri (and other cities, including Los Angeles) and the National Football League, has pushed these issues right in our face and forced us-as a society-to confront these LONG TIME social realities.
Our newsmaker has been a prominent voice in this national discussion, both in his commentary and in his new novel that discusses race, abuse and discrimination in his childhood upbringing. This will be an exciting forum. A booksigning will follow the forum.
