Dear friends of USVAA, fellow Veterans and Artists:

USVAA Fundraiser Saturday

United States Veterans' Artists Alliance Fundraiser Saturday

We have exciting news about the program for our fundraiser this Saturday evening from 6 to 9 pm, at the Historic Lantern House in Venice.

We're thrilled that John DiFusco -- currently portraying Eugene O'Neill in "O'Neill's Ghosts" at the Odyssey Theatre -- will be performing several monologues from this extraordinary must-see production.

We're also proud to announce that later in the evening, Joe Gardner (veteran, U.S. Army), known throughout Los Angeles as "The Working Class Poet," will be reading several of his latest poems. Joe's work is powerful and dynamic and should not be missed as it truly reflects his hardscrabble background growing up in the Central Valley, his military service in the 82d Airborne Division and his work in construction throughout the Western U.S.

Artwork produced by three of our incredibly talented USVAA artists, Joan Pahoyo (USN), Jonas Lara (USMC) and Christopher Sweeney (USMC) will be displayed throughout the Lantern House.

In addition to our Veterans Host Committee, we've added three important individuals to our Host Committee: Dr. Judith Broder, Hon. Jim Clarke (veteran, USCG) and Hon. Mike Bonin.

The evening's program will include remarks by Senator Ted Lieu and others and we will be making several exciting announcements about upcoming USVAA programs.

The Historic Lantern House is located at
