We are The Black Muse Exhibition (B.M.E.) and we want to activate activism with your organization.

Black Muse Exhibition

B.M.E moves to tackle the weighty topic of inclusion for men of color around the globe with an experiential production, educating a diverse audience on the importance of not counting men of color out.

Produced exclusively by a woman of color, B.M.E has been featured at South by Southwest (SXSW) 2019 and Brewery Artwalk LA. The focus of this production is to facilitate interactive inclusion and understanding. As an interactive exhibit the ensemble will entertain the audience - sparking their minds, conjuring moments of humor, and highlighting black culture in a positive manner.

We are taking the opportunity to transcend entertainment and use our work as a catalyst to introduce complex and seemingly taboo conversations. B.M.E has featured Texas native poet and TEDx alumni Tro’juan Henderson who performed in a space dedicated to men of color. B.M.E has also housed monumental pieces by Africa based artist The Vintage Mason and Los Angeles based visionary and photographer IIronic, who has worked with brands and artists including SUPRA footwear, Wondaland Records, Ella Mai, Sofi Tukker and Anderson .Paak.

The Black Muse Exhibition aims to debunk the many myths and false social misconceptions about the overall experience lived out by men of color, while simultaneously creating a safe and nurturing domain for sensitive discussions where men of color can receive and distribute love from the world around them. Our objective is to bring about change in not only the global narrative about men of color, but to also change the lens by which they are perceived. Men of color deserve a rightful place in this world, comfortably for generations, and we will use this exhibition to continue the conversation around healthy views on men of color.

Black Muse is centered around making a tangible impact on its audience, we pride ourselves in empowering and inspiring people of color to live up to their greatest potential for the present and the future. Founded in 2018, B.M.E strives to bring about cohesion between the people of the world. Recognizing a need for spaces where people of color can freely exist, and create communities where people of all backgrounds accept, include, and celebrate people of color.
