Each week, LA Progressive’s editors pick what they regard as a particularly insightful comment from one of our readers, both to draw attention to one particular reader’s thoughts and to encourage more readers to weigh in with their opinions. This week’s pithy "Feedback Friday" response comes from Art Cribbs, who commented on the article by LAP Editor Dick Price, "Salsa Lessons, Or Bye Bye MSNBC."

Keep Dancing

You got my attention and I happily stayed with you to the end. First, great you continue to recover, heal and get stronger after treatment. As a man who lost his wife to Tango because I could not keep up, you encourage me never to give up.

American arrogance condemns the nation to following the beat of a drum major who got no rhythm and can’t rhyme but can parlay with the best liars and heartless demons on any dance floor without missing a beat to do harm.

Ultimately, that explains the continual death beat on affordable healthcare for everyone. And the brain dead minions follow the beat of the deaf, off-beat drummer leading the parade but remains off the dance floor.

Continue to encourage us by dancing with Sharon and be willing to follow her lead. You admitted she knows how to move to the beat with a smile as her feet dance with style. Follow her leadership and moves so you can groove without pause.

Black women leaders can save the day and all of us when we value their steps and follow their lead. That is what’s missing in America. Too many of us got no appreciation and no rhythm. That’s a bad and dangerous combination. It leads to falling in line behind a heartless, dead beat mogul who can’t dance to the beat, misses the point, and has no soul.
