The only whining I have heard since the election is from the disappointed HRC supporters who can’t come to terms with why their candidate failed. Hubris and condescension toward grassroots activism is the source of the problem.
Please, let’s not double down on another establishment Dem in the future. The Dem apparatus must be overhauled and the corrupt careerists need to be replaced with candidates, staff and activists who actually represent the kind of movement energy that Bernie represented.
HRC started out unpopular and no amount of apologizing for her flaws and misdeeds ever dispelled that cloud. A billion dollars were misspent on an out-of touch-candidacy that ushered in mango Mussolini. The Bernie uprising was a warning, but HRC’s oh so smart staffers knew better. Except they didn’t, and now we’re all stuck.
Time to try something and someone else.
