This week’s pithy "Feedback Friday" response comes from Gary Corseri, who commented on the article by Bill Blum, "Time to Use the 'F' Word to Describe Trump"

The best definition of “fascism” is probably Mussolini’s own; he defined it as the melding of corporate and government interests. (Short, but not sweet!)

In that sense, the US has been guilty of fascism not for the past year and a half–as Bill Blum and others ululate–but for a couple of centuries–with the Industrial Revolution, the centralization of government, its expansionist, imperialist wars, holocaustic elimination of our indigenous population, enslavement of Africans, exploitation of women as “indentured servants,” exploitation of immigrants in our meat-packing plants in Chicago (read Upton Sinclair’s classic, “The Jungle”), suppression of revolutionary movements in Central America, Asia, Africa and elsewhere.
