What do we call the Republican Party, today? I mean besides @#$%& and &^%$#@. Is it still considered “The Party of Lincoln” or “The Party of Honest Abe?” The Party of Freeing the Slaves? No more–no more–no more. If Lincoln knew what the Republicans have become today, he would not just be turning over in his grave, the Great Emancipation Creator would be spinning frantically in his cold lifeless internment in dismal disbelief and shame of his Party.
In spite of the fact that historians have refuted that Abraham Lincoln said: “You can fool all the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all of the time,” the Republican Party has opted to recreate the phrase and use the ‘Big Lie’ consistently in their attempt to fool all the American people, all the time. Take Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, PLEASE! McConnell lies as easily as he breathes. And as to John Boehner, the House Speaker’s oversized wooden gavel has outgrown Pinocchio’s nose.
Why does the GOP lie and fool people all the time? Answer: Because, if they didn’t use the ‘Big Lie’ all the time, they would never have won one election from Nixon’s election on to Bush II. Republicans have changed a portion of Lincoln’s concept of his famed and powerful last sentence in the Gettysburg Address; “and that government of the people, by the people and for the people” to the current Republican offering: ‘off the people, buy the people, and forfeit the people.’
What’s the main driving force of today’s political Republican? Answer: Hate, hatred and hating. Republican hate comes in all sizes, but not in all colors. So how does GOP hate affect our country? Well, let’s start with Republican hate of our Government. You mean they hate our government and the Constitution, too? Yes. Of course they make an exception for a sliver of the one sentence that is the 2nd Amendment. ‘The right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed. Their problem is that they believe only the Right has the right to bear any sort of arms including tanks and canons. Now the GOP includes the Right’s right to LIE and misrepresent.
When did the hatred of our modern government and Constitution become overt? When the GOP icon, Ronald Reagan made statements like “Government is the problem” and “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” Those ideas should scare voters away from a political party that hates the government. The GOP has used shock and awe against our U.S. government in order to demonstrate how awful government can be, all the while they run it very badly they manipulate taxpayer’s money into outrageous private profit through war, smashing down laws and continued use of taxpayer’s money for obstructing and using taxpayers money for their own political purposes.
Question: Where would the GOP be without creating their daily ‘Talking Points’ and propaganda fantasies?
Shortly after the tragic Benghazi attack, two GOP wordsmiths were talking in the Talking Point Division of their propaganda section: Boris contemplates something.
BORIS: “Benghazi—Benghazi—Benghazi—BENGHAZI!!! That’s it! Randy, say Benghazi.”
RANDY: “Benghazi. So?”
BORIS: “Benghazi can be the next GOP buzzword just like we made and use the word ‘Death.’”
RANDY: “You think so?”
BORIS: “It has alliteration, it sounds foreign like bin Laden, it’s easy to say and remember and we can tie it in to rub out Obama, Hillary and Kerry. It’s perfect.”
RANDY: “Wait a minute, Boris. The Republican House turned down the State Department request for more funds to protect our foreign Embassies. The Democrats will turn that around to hit us.”
BORIS: “It doesn’t matter. We’ll just keep saying BENGHAZI, since it’s a winner of a word. We’ll make it be our Iraq “Mushroom Cloud,” by just repeating it over and over and we can use it against the Democrat if Obama Care gets any traction.”The one thing that the Republicans learned from President Lincoln for bad and for worse is that words count, even when they’re outright lies by the Right.
