Peter Triantos is the founder of 8Food, one of the leading condiment companies in Australia. His journey in the corporate world is one of the most inspirational ones.
Triantos dropped out of high school when he was just sixteen years old. This was a bold move, but not for Triantos. From a very young age, he knew that predefined systems create predefined people, and he wanted to step out of this box that society was trying to put him in.
Peter started his entrepreneurial journey at twenty-one years old when he bought a run-down of the chicken grill bar, which later went on to open five more stores. In 2007, Peter decided to jump into the food manufacturing industry and invested three million dollars into infrastructure. 8Food was started, and it shook up the condiment industry! The amount of traction that 8Food received worried its competitors to the extent where they waged a price war against Peter’s company. This led to financial distress and the loss of his family home.
When asked about what habits he attributes his success to, Peter admits it’s because of his never give up attitude.
Even throughout these stressful times, Peter managed to hold on to his business, He knew that the only way out was through. Eventually, they changed tactics and started servicing stores directly instead of through formal distributors. As soon as 8Food picked up again, Peter established a distribution company to manage and sell his products. Both companies now have a turnover of thirty-five million dollars and have a growth rate of twenty-five percent.
When asked about what habits he attributes his success to, Peter admits it’s because of his never give up attitude. His relentless mindset has pushed him to do whatever it takes to succeed. He was a boss way before being an entrepreneur became a mainstream concept. He claims his massive thirst of life and love for challenges has allowed him to rev up whenever people say “you can’t do it”
