Harish Paruchuri is an Indian-origin technology professional working as a Senior AI Engineer with Anthem Inc. Family

Harish has a small but close-knit family: his parents and a younger sister. His father worked as a State Government Engineer, and his mother is a homemaker who did a superb job raising 2 good-natured and compassionate children.

Education

Harish studied at Kakatiya Public School till 8th grade and then completed his secondary education at Bhashyam Public School, a highly revered boarding school in Andhra Pradesh. Throughout his educational career, he got excellent grades. During school, Harish was a popular kid because his proficiency in extracurricular activities matched his academic accomplishments. He won several awards and certificates during school including a Certificate of Achievement for basketball, an award for winning a zonal quiz and an award for finishing first in an entertainment quiz.

Harish obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering. His project on “Optimizing Voice Recognition Using Various Techniques" is published in CIIT International Journal for Digital Signal Processing. Harish also designed 2 hardware mini projects, a voice recorder that could save an hour-long voice file and a mini-UPS that could be useful in the event of a power outage. Throughout his academic career, not only did he perform considerably well at studies but also participated in numerous plays, skits and films delivering strong social messages and organized several inter-college events. His excellent leadership abilities and exceptional organizational skills were greatly appreciated and commended during his engagement with HOPE, an organization controlled by his university, for serving elderly in rural areas to find medical supplies and aid.

After graduating with flying colors, Harish started working with Advansoft International Ltd as a Software Engineer, where he worked for around 19 months. After gaining industry knowledge through advanced projects and collaborating with industry leaders, Harish decided to pursue a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering to move his way up the professional ladder. He was accepted in University of Houston-Clear Lake and graduated with a stellar 3.69 GPA.

Professional Career

Harish started his professional journey with Advansoft International Ltd, Hyderabad as a Software Engineer where he was involved in system analysis that included the low-level design, and contributed to the technical architecture of the system. After spending 19 months with the organization, he decided to pursue a Master’s Degree and moved to the USA. During his degree, he worked as a student technician (Assistant Systems Specialist) with the University of Houston. His key deliverables included user administration setup, maintaining account and Monitoring system performance.

After completing his master’s degree, Harish joined Vintech Solutions Inc. where he worked as a Big Data Engineer. He handled two projects during his one-and-a-half-year engagement. The first client was an American supplier of health information technology solutions, services, devices and hardware while the second client was a Major American Health Insurance Company.

Harish is currently working as a Senior AI Engineer with Anthem Inc., responsible for guiding the full lifecycle of a Big Data (Hadoop) solution, including requirements analysis, technical architecture design, application design and development, testing, and deployment.

Harish is a highly acclaimed author of scientific literature who has published 17 research articles in Scopus and other prestigious peer-reviewed publications, with a total of 172 citations. He has also featured in Yahoo Finance, Thrive Global, Forbes, New York Weekly, etc.

In his article “The Impact of Machine Learning on the Future of Insurance Industry”, Harish examines some cases and bring out the vital role of machine learning in handling client data and resolving issues of entitlements. In “Application of Artificial Neural Network to ANPR: An Overview” he reviewed diverse methods of automatic number plate recognition considering success rate, picture size, and processing time as factors.
