Michael Haas: Americans, deliberately kept unaware of their perceptions by the media, now have an opportunity to break through the brainwashing by immersing themselves in The Reluctant Fundamentalist.
Jerry Drucker: Mitt apparently now wishes to HARVEST THE UNITED STATES, as he would for a food crop. So in the spirit of Romney’s interests in cooked books, here are some recipes:
Rich Broderick: In the wake of megastorm Sandy, Bain Capital, which was co-founded by Mitt Romney and where he served as CEO until he resigned in 1999 but didn’t actually resign until 2002 when he really meant it, is planning to make a leveraged buyout of the entire Northeast.
Julie Driscoll: It’s hard for most of us to comprehend that a candidate would not only fudge the info, but would outright lie in the most extreme, shameless, blatant way that the Romney-Ryan ticket is lying.
Dotty Lemeiux: [dc]R[/dc]omney clearly held the President down and pummeled him with his riding crop most of Wednesday evening. The patrician bully smiled throughout and lied masterfully, while the president tried not to squirm.
Steve Hochstadt: Romney thinks that the people who got the jobs he says he created are those irresponsible parasites who are hopelessly dependent on government. That is ironic.
Tom Hall: What the mob does is to rape small businesses. Romney’s Bain Capital does exactly the same thing. But because it is all done according to securities laws, it is “Legitimate Rape.”
Jerome Horton: The Republican presidential candidate wants to eliminate the estate tax, which currently applies a top rate of 35% as well as a $10.24 million exemption on a married couple’s combined assets.
Tom Hall: While the “liberal media” focuses on the regular, intentional lies that Romney and Ryan spew, there is an insidious, flagrantly racist, anti-semitic campaign being waged in emails to every potential hate voter in the U.S.
Dotty LeMieux: Either the Mittster was up to his eyeballs in Bain management and had an active role in decision-making during that period, or he is a clueless wonder who can’t keep track of the boards he sits on and shouldn’t be trusted with a child’s piggy bank, let alone the finances of a major company or the United States Treasury.
Randy Shaw: Romney’s choice of Paul Ryan was less about pleasing the Party’s base than about trying to shift the conversation away from the issues that Obama’s campaign team have made this election about.
Tom Hall: Clearly, Romney has no issue with the doctrine of lying to achieve any goal he wants. But his lying about his religious beliefs doesn’t mean that other people can’t tell the truth about those religious beliefs.
Tina Dupuy: [dc]P[/dc]resumptive nominee Mitt Romney is seemingly fixated on apologies. He’s obsessed with apologies like Bristol Palin is obsessed with teen abstinence
