Brad Parker: As President of Valley Democrats United and a board member of the California Clean Money Action Fund, I’m asking you to join our club in considering endorsing an important and exciting campaign finance reform measure on the upcoming March 8th Los Angeles city ballot, Measure H. Measure H is a Fair Elections measure that would rein in pay-to-play politics in Los Angeles. It would prohibit contributions and fundraising by bidders for large city contracts, and punishes violators by banning them from getting city contracts for up to four years.
It’s happening again! I’m getting a slew of emails from friends because they don’t have a clue who they should vote for in the upcoming California Democratic Party Delegate election. Or someone committed to global diplomacy, the Bill of Rights, and an end to run-away greed ?
Congratulations to the winners at this afternoon’s Obama caucus for CD 30, Robert Vanderet, Victoria von Szeliski, and Shayne Adamski. This trio of very organized campaign volunteers ran as a team, and took all three delegate seats. With heartwarming support from progressive Democrats and the Santa Monica Democratic Club, I came in third for the […]
There has been an extraordinary outpouring of grassroots support for Senator Obama among Democrats and Independents in all 53 California Congressional districts. In recognition of this tremendous enthusiasm, our campaign has asked the California Democratic Party to allow all persons who have filed to be a district delegate candidate for Senator Obama at the Democratic […]
I sat in bed watching the Debate with Clinton/Obama in Hollywood Thursday night. I battled between it and the season premier of LOST on ABC but decided I can always catch the LOST rerun. I needed to see that last debate firsthand. I must admit, I’m impressed with both candidates. I had logged into Politico.com […]
