Victoria Defrancesco Soto: Its going to take more than seeing a fellow woman on the presidential ticket to woo Independent and Democratic leaning women, but then again didn’t the GOP already learn that lesson?
B. Cayenne Bird: The California legislature uses prisons and jails as a means by which to finance the bureaucracy. They use it for job creation and the $1.8 million that Brown took from CCPOA dictates his loyalty to the prison guards.
Walter and Rosemary Brasch: We really want to be able to write columns about Americans who take care of each other, about leaders who concentrate upon fixing the social problems. But we know that’s only an ethereal ideal.
