  1. Spot on! The only thing that Sylvia failed to mention was that FOX had also decided to broadcast some of their most worthless programs instead of the president when he was addressing the nation too – something that NPR certainly doesn’t do. Just imagine what kind of chaos would have ensued if any network had done such a thing to Bush when he was in office! But hey, the White House press corp really hasn’t been the same since Bush planted his male-hooker buddy in there to pitch him softballs; and if I remember correctly, he moved Helen Thomas to the back of the room to make room for his special friend too.

Elaine is such a perfect example of what happens to people when all they consume for news is trash, it’s amazing how many people actually believe Obama is a socialist or communist, and can’t even differentiate between the two – nor comprehend reality for that matter. And Beck sure has Marshall bamboozled too; he clearly doesn’t know that Beck has a schizophrenia problem, that he had lambasted Shirley Sherrod on his radio program just hours before his FOX appearance where he claimed he would never, ever do anything of the sort. FOX hosts bet on an ignorant viewership and they’re obviously winning that bet daily.

  2. Thanks for the article. I wonder about AP, however. I expect that the front row was given to the big power people, i.e., the White House wants to curry favor from AP, rather than the seat being given to the most deserving reporter.

In a similar vein, the Rolling Stone writer whose article got McChrystal in trouble is now prohibited from embedding with the troops. In other words, you be nice to me and I’ll be nice to you… If you don’t play nice, then you don’t get to come to my party.

The top brass at AP seem to have their own agenda and I believe it is more to the right than anywhere close to objective. Whenever I hear an item on NPR that seems overly biased, i.e., not balanced and the other side not being represented, almost invariably, I can trace the source to AP.

It may be out of your scope of interest for this newsletter but I would like to see someone dig into AP and uncover just what agenda AP really does have.

  3. Every news media with the exception of Fox is filled with lies & non reporting of very important information that the American people need to know. The people that deny this or just plain out right refuse to believe it are not only lying to themselves but to the people that have lost their way in society because of the lies from these bias news media. Had the majority of American people just given Fox News a try instead of believing what the bias news medias reported only we would not be in this mess. My complete & total fear is we are being fed small bits of socialism & take overs of businesses, health care, Wall Street & the financial markets & more & more money spent on useless, unnecessary things instead of cuts backs & but more & more Big Government being rammed down our throat. If the Bush tax cuts do not get renewed it is going to get worse even faster. We are going to wake up to Communist rule very soon if we don’t stop this now. This Sylvia Moore taking the side of Acorn & Van Jones lets you know you she is not only lying to herself but everyone else. Van Jones has admitted himself that he became a radical & a communist after he went to prison. That is where he met these kind of people & began to believe in what they stood for. Sylvia, did you ignore his comments he made on a video? Do you not remember in Obama’s book that he said when he went to College he purposely sought out radicals, socialists, communists, Marxists & on the different kind of people that he was interested in. He laughs at people saying he is a socialist, I assume that is because he is something even worse then that. If you go into You Tube & look at all the videos that Progressives have on there you will learn more than anything any news media & if you go back to read your true history that now has been erased from our children history books you will learn even more. I am really sick & tired of people complaining about Fox when that is where they are going to get both sides of the story & give you the choice to make up your own mind. Don’t let the greatest Nation in the World turn into a Banana Republic or completely destroyed because of bias media outlets & narrow minded people who use to know that is how we learn from our mistakes is to remember our history in true form.

    • Where are all these nut-wings coming from? Elaine and Wes Tipton have really internalized the bloviating nonsense and racism coming from Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, et al. They don’t know what socialism and communism really are, and I believe in their minds they think they are synonomous with totalitarianism. Do they have a problem with public entities such as fire departments and the police force, or public transportation and public education? And yet these forms of “socialism” have long been a part of the fabric of our country.
My problem with these people is that they don’t think for themselves, and, like sponges, they just soak up anything they hear they conforms with or supports their biases.

  4. Get serious. Fox’s O’Reilly, Hannity, and Greta shows are not news shows. They all have that right wing slant.
And just as strongly, MSNBC’s Olbermann, Ed Shultz, Rachel Maddow are all strongly left wing with never a fair presention of Republicans. Even NPR has a left leaning slant, not to mention the big three of ABC, NBC and CBS. If you want an example of manufacturing lies as news, look no further than CBS and Dan Rather and the manufactured documents used by 60 minutes to show GWBush in a bad light.

    • Those shows are opinion shows, and all three invite some real lefty jack wagons on their shows to air their opinions, this is not true of other networks. As for the fox news slots, I think they try to give it down the middle, but do lean a tad to the right.

  5. Right wing propaganda outfit! Is that what Fox news is, really? Then what is msnbc, a left wing propaganda outfit, (which is definitely what they are).
Is telling the truth and exposing this marxist adminstration for what it is called propaganda these days? Wow, who knew!
Eventually the clueless libs who write this far left crap are going to wake up and smell the roses, but probably not until they either lose their jobs or have to suffer through this upcoming high priced so-called health care reform. How on earth some people still don’t get it is a total mystery to me.

    • Actually, Wes, you can tell the difference between propaganda and actual news reporting when the reporters back their views with FACTS. I often find that the Right (of which I used to be a fervent defender) does not know or understand what a FACT is. An opinion not backed by facts is outright dangerous. Fox News is a danger to the USA because it is sowing hate among us, which leads to bloodshed and destruction of innocent life.

      fact (fkt)
      1. Knowledge or information based on real occurrences: an account based on fact; a blur of fact and fancy.
      a. Something demonstrated to exist or known to have existed: Genetic engineering is now a fact. That Chaucer was a real person is an undisputed fact.
      b. A real occurrence; an event: had to prove the facts of the case.
      c. Something believed to be true or real: a document laced with mistaken facts.
      3. A thing that has been done, especially a crime: an accessory before the fact.
      4. Law The aspect of a case at law comprising events determined by evidence: The jury made a finding of fact.
      in (point of) fact
In reality or in truth; actually.

      • No one really has the facts because you want to get the story in print first. You use to have days to get the facts, but not now, just print and go. What matters is who prints or says on air they made a mistake. Funny, FOX leads in that group and leads in viewers. Progressives think that if they say/print it then it is a fact. I look at Sherrod’s view of how fox treated her and it was much better than the HW or NAACP. Beck even took up for her, fact, I saw that one. You can not find a clip of John Lewis saying he was called the N words on steps of congress, but plenty of folks who were not there say it is a fact. If I hear Mr Lewis say so, then I will believe it, not til then, just progressives wanting it to be true and that alone makes it true. You keep wanting minority rule but do not think that is coming either.
